They said the fang was not that big a deal. But he has severe gum disease, which they said was painful, and which in cats is either:
- Regular gum disease like people (dental)
- Herpes - likely because he got that in the shelter
- Autoimmune
So he got a course of Clinda/Flagyl, and also depo steroids for 9 weeks. It's been about 4, and to me the teeth look just the same. But the steroids seem to be making him sort of depressed. I hope he doesn't get all Addisonian on me on the way to the US. Doh.
And he has to go to the Ministry of Agriculture for a certificate of health. He's my little farm animal.
