Wet Wake Up

This morning: Namerovsky hopped into bed, and I was awakened by wet cat feet and underside. I looked and there were tiny wet cat prints over all the bedding.

"Avi! Why is the cat wet?" I yelled.

"Oh - funny story, let me finish brushing my teeth and I'll tell you." I am relieved. I was afraid he had stepped in pee in the box and then tracked it into bed.

"I was trying to get ready and he was trying to get up on the bathroom sink, and he climbed on the toilet seat to get up there and when he tried to jump, he fell in the toilet."

AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Worse than cat pee! Toilet water!

Namerovsky won himself a morning bath.

Operation: Hailstorm

Namerovsky was going nuts in the house today, so we finally let him out, despite the very cold temperature (4 C).

Then it started raining and hailing, loud. The poor guy was terrified and just hid under the stairs, too scared to move. It's just about ten paces from there to the door, but no coaxing could get him to come into the house. Not even waving the cat Doritos.

I probably should have just left him there until it ended, but I felt sad for him freezing out there. So I got the umbrella and headed out.

The Rescue
He's the little tabby and white blob in the tiny corner of the stairs behind the olive branches.

But he was still too scared to even come over to me and it was too small for me to get down there.

So I went back in the house to bring the cat Doritos under the eave.

The Rescue
That did it. He came over, still under the stairs, and...

Wet, wet cat

The two days of rain got to be too much for him. He just got crazy from being in the house all the time. When Av left for work he made a dash for the door in the rain...straight to the mud and rolled. He was out in pouring rain for an hour. When he came back he was so wet and frozen - rainwater is SO COLD. He actually let me towel him off some, but there are now wet cat ass prints all over the floor.

As Av said, "We forgive him anything. That cat could do anything, break anything...and we just don't care."
