My boy cats do that. You hardly even notice when they are there.
My girl cat climbs on my back, chest and shoulders and tries to settle there. It is really hard to sleep when she does that, particularly when she starts to snore and grunt only a few inches from my face. Lucky for her, she is my precious little girl.

So cute! My female cat, Ginger, climbs up on my hip in the winter to sleep, but usually sets up in a corner of the bed in the spring and summer.
